Tracking The Money In IoT

The Internet of Things is gaining enough traction to become a serious concept for solution providers to explore, but many are still questioning how to actually monetize this emerging space.

Ontario, Calif.-based Sigmanet is one of the many solution providers still determining how to best approach IoT, but the company is making moves to experiment with what works, and what doesn’t, in profiting from the Internet of Things.

The solution provider has been working over the past 18 months to plan, strategize and deploy solutions to digitize parts of the 21-mile Pacific Electric Trail in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif,

CRN talked with Stephen Monteros, vice president of business development and strategic initiatives at Sigmanet, about the process.

Note: This is the fourth of CRN’s weekly IoT Channel Chronicles series, which is an in-depth interview with solution providers to dig into opportunities and challenges the channel is facing with the Internet of Things.
